I just wanted to take a moment to share with you something that is truly amazing. In a previous post we shared with you some of our values here at Assist Social Media. At the core of what we do is wanting you to succeed in your business. The impact of small business is limitless. No longer does have x number of employees or clients matter, you can be impactful, and profitable all by yourself (big grin).
If you haven't heard of a little company called Instagram let me tell you a little about it. Instagram is a social app for sharing pictures. Kind of like Pinterest, only it is designed to share photos that you snap directly from your phone instead of grabbing them from online and sharing them. Instagram was started two years ago and has only 12 employees, and here is the kicker, Facebook just purchased it for $1 Billion! Now that is the impact of small business. Facebook has a pretty awesome story behind it as well.
This infographic compares Instagram to the New York Times and shows the numbers of each company. It is a very interesting and inspiring showing of the impact of small business and how one person can grow a business into a powerhouse.
