Gurbaksh Chahal

At the age of 16, Gurbaksh dropped out of high school to pursue his dream as an entrepreneur and started his first company, ClickAgents. It was one of the first ad networks focused around performance based advertising. Eighteen months later, he sold it for $40 million to ValueClick.
In January 2004, Gurbaksh founded his second company, BlueLithium, this time with an insight into sophisticated new ways that data, optimization and analytics could help Web advertisers with behavioral targeting. BlueLithium was named one of the top 100 private companies in America for three years in a row by AlwaysOn, and in 2006, it joined Google, Skype and Salesforce.com in being named Innovator of the Year. In 2007, Yahoo acquired BlueLithium for $300 million in cash.
Gurbaksh is leading his third start-up, RadiumOne. RadiumOne is the first Real Time Bidding (RTB) enabled display audience network with social and mobile capabilities.
Through its proprietary and patent-pending “Social Retargeting” technology, RadiumOne allows companies to take advantage of the ever-increasing amount of “social” data on the Internet to zero in on the consumers most likely to be receptive to their messages. This helps not only companies, since they can make efficient use of limited Web advertising budgets, but also potential customers, since they are presented with messages more relevant to their needs. RadiumOne is headquartered in San Francisco, and is funded by several prominent Silicon Valley venture capitalists.
In April 2010, Chahal was awarded the Leaders In Management Award and an Honorary Doctorate degree in Commercial Science from Pace University in 2010 in recognition for his career achievements as an entrepreneur. Much of that story Chahal himself told in his international best-selling book, “The Dream.”
Gurbaksh’s successes as an entrepreneur has also been noted in The New York Times, Entrepreneur magazine, Forbes and BusinessWeek. He has also been profiled on Oprah Winfrey Show, Bonnie Hunt and EXTRA.

HTML5 vs. Apps: Here's Why The Debate Matters, And Who Will Win

HTML5 is a new technology that allows developers to build rich web-based apps that run on any device via a standard web browser.
Many think it will save the web, rendering native platform-dependent apps obsolete.
So, which will win? Native apps or HTML5?

A recent report from
BI Intelligence explains why we think HTML5 will win out, and what an HTML future will look like for consumers, developers, and brands.

Here's why the Apps-vs-HTML5 debate matters:
  • Distribution: Native apps are distributed through app stores and markets controlled by the owners of the platforms. HTML5 is distributed through the rules of the open web: the link economy.
  • Monetization: Native apps come with one-click purchase options built into mobile platforms. HTML5 apps will tend to be monetized more through advertising, because payments will be less user-friendly.
  • Platform power and network effects: Developers have to conform with Apple's rules. Apple's market share, meanwhile, creates network effects and lock-in. If and when developers can build excellent iPhone and iPad functionality on the web using HTML5, developers can cut Apple out of the loop. This will reduce the network effects of Apple's platform.
  • Functionality: Right now, native apps can do a lot more than HTML5 apps. HTML5 apps will get better, but not as fast as some HTML5 advocates think.
In full, the special report analyzes:
  • What HTML5 is, giving an overview of how it is a technology done by committee.

Facebook Design Concept, Quite Hot

Talking about Facebook, It doesn't need any definition because i thing each and every person having internet is already know about that. Facebook keeps changing its design UI with miner changes to make user interface much much better. Sometimes changes are hard to caught but some times major changes can be made like Facebook timeline etc. but not only the Facebook workers are doing their best to give a great user interface and Functionality but also there are some other peoples around the world who are making these efforts on their own.

Today while Surfing i got an awesome web-design UI of Facebook on Behance. Check this out the New UI concept for Facebook having an awesome Login Screen so that user can have a great fell when they came here for Login.

Whenever you are logged in what you first see it the Dashboard of your profile so that must be eye catching and should also contains all information that you need.

Next Comes with Primary and secondary news feeds concept for All friends stream and Close Friend Stream.

Events Pages of the concept is really awesome and comes with a beautiful concept will make you fell great.

Facebook Brand Pages are also the most important part so why leave them here comes the design for the Facebook brand pages.

Onething after seeing all this i can say is the designer is really creative. So let me know how is this design. Do you like it or Not.

Transparent Cell Phone on the Horizon

Transparent anything is cool. Seriously, things that are see through automatically scream ‘futuristic’ based on all the sci-fi shows and movies that used transparent props. They sort of defy all logic, especially when technology is involved. Yet liquid crystal technology and its constant switching open and closed are being put to use to make a transparent phone possible. Which makes me wonder, will we someday lose our phones because we literally can’t see it?

A few companies, including, Polytron Technologies are working to produce a transparent smartphone. Their Smart Glass technology looks cloudy white. But when powered on the switching molecules open up and the device becomes opaque. Obviously other technology in the phone (SIM card, SD card, battery, speaker, camera) are not transparent. Polytron anticipates having an opaque filter to cover those less sexy spots. Working prototypes are expected this year and with any luck Polytron will find some interested phone manufacturers and become an OEM partner. So keep an eye out (if you can see them) for transparent phones in the near future.

Charge with Body Heat

Think about how much power our bodies generate. We are truly machines, constantly taking in energy and burning or storing it for future use. We rely on electronic devices for so many parts of our life, all of which have to be plugged into a power source. It seems logical that we should be able to harness the energy in our body and funnel it towards electrical uses. Many have tried and it finally looks like someone succeeded in making an efficient device to do exactly that.
Fujifilm recently revealed a high-efficiency Thermoelectric Converter in a flexible film format. The thought is the substance attaches to our skin and immediately begins producing electricity from the heat you give off.  Fujifilm’s particular polymer can be manufactured via printer too, which enables virtually any size or shape film. Solar power could be added to the film to enable even more charging.  Imagine running low on phone power, applying this film, plugging into the phone and letting your body heat charge your device. OK, maybe that is far off. Medical devices would probably be the first to experience this au-natural charging product. Live demonstrations of the product are occurring at trade shows so hopefully some manufacturers will take note. And maybe someday our body heat will charge our lives.

Concept Headphones with the screen

Future technology Concept Headphones with the screen

Who said that the headphones should only output sound in the ears of their owners? Who says that they can not even show? After all, it’s good – listen to music and not to affect the surrounding. Only you, headphones and music! But now it seems that the time has come for change.
Designer Mike Enayah introduced the concept of headphones with integrated bracket for iPhone, which turns the device into an analogue a glasses with virtual reality . The design of these headphones used metal, wood, and plastic.
